Jockey Club Family Therapy Programme

Workshop Series: Children in Divorce Families

Date: June 18, July 2, 16, and 30, 2021 (Friday)

Time: 2pm - 5pm

In this divorce workshop series, we will present our curriculum designed to prepare professionals on how to work with children in divorce families. The curriculum involves four parts:

  1. Children’s voices in divorce families,

  2. How to work with families in custodial battles,

  3. Clinical logistics in dealing with divorce cases, and 

  4. Treatment process in working with children in divorce families.

Workshop Series: Working with Mental Health Problems in the Family Context

Dates: June 12 & 26, 2021 (Friday)

Time: 2pm - 5pm

Using videotaped segments for illustration, our Faculty will share a novel approach in addressing mental illness in the family. This 2-day workshop will cover four major themes in working with individuals with mental illness, including how to address individual symptoms in the family context and how to use our specially designed Family Biofeedback Assessment protocol© to depict individual physiological responses in relation to family relationships. The presentation will also cover a range of affective and anxiety disorders as well as psychosomatic disorders.









Workshop Series – Introduction to Legal Framework of the Marriage System

Date: June 23, 2021 (Wednesday)

Time: 7pm - 10pm


In this workshop, Mr. IP Ho Kin, practicing barrister whose scope of practice includes criminal, civil, and family matters, will address the legalities related to establishing and dissolving marital relationships in Hong Kong. He will also share his mediation experiences in working with families going through divorce, while focusing on areas that professionals need to pay specific attention to.

AAFT 7th Annual Conference
