Wai Yung Lee, Ph.D., is Founding President of AAFT, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Associate Professor and Founding Director of the HKU Family Institute, and Faculty Member of the Minuchin Center for the Family in New York, USA.



AAFT Vice President

Takeshi TAMURA, M.D., Vice President of AAFT, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist. He retired from 19 years of professorship at Tokyo Gakugei University to start his private practice in central Tokyo in 2011.


AAFT Vice President

Xudong ZHAO, M.D., Vice President of AAFT, is currently a professor and Doctorate instructor at Shanghai Tongji University and also the Director of the Division of Medical Humanities. Prof Zhao serves as the president of Pudong New Area Mental Health Center affiliated to Tongji University, and the chief-doctor of the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine in Shanghai East Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University. Due to his diverse experiences in China and Germany, he adopts a multiple-cultural perspective in his teaching, research and clinical practice specialized in family therapy, psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy, cultural psychiatry, psychology and philosophy.

HAO-WEI WANG, M.D. (Taiwan)

Dr Wang is a psychiatrist who is currently Director of the Taiwan Institute of Psychotherapy. He is a certified Jungian Analyst and specializes in Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, Clinical Supervision, Healthcare, Medicine, and Life Transitions.

YOUNG-JU CHUN, Ph.D. (Korea)

AAFT Vice President

Prof Chun Young-Ju currently works as a professor at the Department of Welfare & Counseling, Silla University, South Korea, teaching family counseling, family studies, and MFT supervision. She majored in Child Development & Family Studies at Yonsei University, Korea, and achieved her Master's and Ph.D. at Purdue University, USA. She is a certified supervisor of family therapy and marriage and family counseling in Korea, and have taught family therapy and family relations for more than 2 decades. Her research interests include such areas as multigenerational transmission of emotional system, differentiation/individuation, divorce therapy, parental counseling, and video supervision. She is actively involved in public training, consultation, and supervision for MFT in Korea.


MAN LUN NG, M.D. (Hong Kong)

Man Lun NG, M.D., FHKC Psychiatry, is former Professor of Psychiatry at The University of Hong Kong, and Associate Director of the HKU Family Institute. Prof. Ng’s expertise in sexology has helped promote sexual health in couples work and psychotherapeutic development, both locally and internationally. He is also one of the most influential psychotherapists in Hong Kong. He has teamed up with Dr Wai Yung Lee in promoting and facilitating a trans-disciplinary approach to clinical practice and research.

Dr Eia ASEN, FRCPsych, is Clinical Director of Marlborough Family Services in London. Dr. Asen is both a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist as well as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychotherapy. He is also Visiting Professor, University College London.
